Honestly, after having had seen the Burton costume ideas, this isn’t that big of a deal. I guess its alien fashion or some such.
I like their choice for Faora. Looks like the comics, in her way.

Read Comics in Public Day
1. It’s 110 degrees where I live. So, I’m not going anywhere.
2. I’ve been reading comics in public since the mid-80’s. I don’t need a particular day upon which to do so.
3. Its sort of a loud cry for attention, isn’t it?
4. I’ve been publicly cheerleading comics using the internet for 8 years. I think I’ll take that as my “I did a...

In which Greg Rucka makes some excellent points... →

Tonight: Robocop Reverse Triple-Feature Marathon!... →
Its not too late to meet me and SimonUK for the RoboCop Triple-Feature Reverse Marathon at the Alamo Ritz. Movies start at 7:00 with RoboCop 3, then 2 then ROBOCOP. Yeah, you gotta play ‘em in reverse order if you want people to stick around, I guess.
Come see Texas cities of the 80’s played up as the Detroit of Tomorrow!
"Miller's Crossing" coming to Blu-Ray at $16.99 →
probably one of my five favorite movies, Miller’s Crossing is hitting Blu-Ray (at last). Amazon is having a sale on several Coen Bros. movies on Blu-Ray.
Barton Fink isn’t yet included, but Blood Simple is.

more Fantagraphics high-end Disney comics are... →
The last few years I’ve become a Disney comics fan. Boom! is no longer licensed to print Disney material, but Fantagraphics seems to have a lock on the classic stuff. We’ll see if Marvel doesn’t soon have a Disney line rolling out Donald, Uncle Scrooge and Mickey.
